    Relax in the main living spaces, silent reading loft, resting rooms, and basement lounge area.

    Enjoy the riverside grounds with multiple fire pits, hammock & seating areas, or a short walk to the shores of Lake Huron.

  • Other Amenities

    During your stay you will be provided with water, tea, coffee, and access to our wellness library.

  • Treatments

    Book a personal session with our on site energy practitioner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there parking?

We have parking for 6 vehicles. More parking can be found over the bridge in the public park, a 3-5 minute walk from the retreat.

How close is Lake Huron?

Lake Huron is a 5-10 minute walk from Idylwild Retreat. You may wish to enjoy Ashfield Park and Beach before or after your visit to Idylwild Retreat; just a short way up the road with public parking.

What should I bring?

Please bring a robe, flip flops or sandals for the hot tub area. You may also want to bring a water bottle, dress in comfortable clothes, or pack walking shoes. Towels are provided.

What river are you on?

Idylwild Retreat is on Eighteen Mile River, where it meanders to Ashfield Beach.

Will I have access to a shower?

Currently there is one indoor shower available for guests. We are working on getting an outdoor shower space.

How can I pay?

After you reserve your space you will receive a link with the option to pay online online using credit, or pay on the day of visit via cash, credit, or debit.
